So far the quakes are fun to play with but even at $50 I'm not seeing great value... better deals to be found on CL. Unless you just want a saw...

I'll do what it takes -but once you get past a muffler mod most don't want to go that far.. They'd be better off buying an 026 for 150-200.
If a muffler mod'd quake runs with my stock o26 then I'll be impressed...

I checked the 4518 again, I had it tuned to 11,500. Turned in the H a bit to 11,900 and it sounded better to me. Though on the video it sounds...

They aren't light... the specs say 38 -- about 10 pounds 41 -- 11.6 45 -- 12.5 (no chainsaw is good for ladder work)
It's a split case saw; not a clamshell.
That 4518 was tuned to 11000 rpm -- the max rpm spec'd. I'll lean it out some and see how it does. ETA: I was wrong it was actually at 11500 in...
