I generally split anything over about 4-5" dia. Leaving it in rounds will take a bit longer to dry. In Louisiana, YMMV.
I actually just prefer to let Red dry longer than 1 year. It'll burn fine in less than that. It's nice being far enough ahead to not always need...

From the exploded views, and pics I've seen, the bearings are press fit and held at proper depth by wire clips inside the wheel bearing housing....
It had a pedal......seemed reasonable to expect a seat.
