I'd highly suggest starting stockpiling pellets, "the way things are going".
No grease....electric motor oil only. Most people use 3 in 1 in the blue can, or Anderol.
Light surface rust inside a firebox will usually go away after use, but anything heavier should be dealt with.
heavy wire brush. Get as much off as you can, then spray paint with Rustoleum High heat paint
