Personally, I would be interested in seeing if there is a difference in drying time between say 14" and 18" long splits that are the same weight....

It is red oak. The tree was standing a few days ago. You are right that they are crazy heavy-just rolling them into the bucket is enough work.

You should consider getting a transit if you don't have one yet. It looks like a few pieces are off as much as a half an inch ;)
