Many people delete the base gasket to gain a little compression and exhaust time.. If it was .009 though, it was too tight. Needs to be about .020...

There's a group of us here in the 4 state area that have about 6 of these a year.. This one just happens to be a 10 hr drive as opposed to a 2...
