Looks like I’m going heading south to Amish country for 8x8 poplar cants ... once the product has been obtained I will begin chain - tuning ...

Populus Balsamifera ? That’s a very-soft Wood - do use make these cants or are they locally available ? I can’t imagine an 8”x8” by 8ft long...
