so where are you saying to put it bobdog2o02 i usually put it in middle and then once catches i throw a piece of firewood on top of it
i dont use kindling lol i just light the log...I figured you dont need anything extra when you have a starter log

It's not a wood stove it's fireplace I use
I use the little tiny starter bricks not the huge duraflames their mini little bricks like 4 inches big...light that and put the wood on top once...
Ya I'd build these nice fires in fireplace but no heat would be put out and u would hear wood sizzling the entire time .

I usually cut trees into like 10-12 inch logs and they vary from like 10-12 inches depending on how thick the tree is and then split them and get...
Like a 10-12inch round end of the log and their usually like 12 inches long lol normal sized cut log pieces that people use to split wood I thought
I appreciate All the input....my logs are split usually into 4 pieces from a 12 foot wide log...so each piece is like 10inches or so
