It burns about the same as silver maple IMHO. I burn a lot of it.............seasons in less than 1 year. Some of it can be difficult to split...
On my 13NC, all the air that feeds the stove (primary, secondary, tertiary/dog house) enters via the OAK manifold on the bottom rear of the stove....
A lot of "cold starts" maybe???
