The first one was in my backyard, I see this one's in yours. Really getting tired of this happening every year.
If it's stacked single row in the sun, I'd think it would be fine. I have similar weather and firewood here.
Definitely white oak, not sure of the species....
Any elm that I've burned takes two seasons to dry properly and that's after it's cut, split and stacked.
I've never burned birch. Is there a common tree you can compare it with?
Siberian elm is good stuff once dry. We have it all over the Prescott area. They grow like weeds and tend to be the first to break up in the snow....
