I would say mulberry, internal has the same look as B.locust and Osage Orange. But a little different bark design.

I would have had a hard time leaving the hickory behind. It’s 2 fold for me, good for the stove, better for the smoker!

I live about mins west of the Susquehanna. My neighbor is a really nice fella. He doesn’t hardly burn wood so he’s like help yourself.
I never used locust before. I was burning some of the locust ugliees in the wood stove and hoowee it was cookin me out.
