I find myself sniffing the sassafras a little too often. Love the stuff!!
Every cherry I've gotten had the most twisted up awful grain. It made hand splitting terrible. Maybe a different species of cherry?
I clean mine once a year. I don't see a reason to change it unless it's worn out.
I'm really not sure what bar would be best. I like canons stuff but it requires an adapter to run on the huskys, not sure if I like that.
Mine is a 28 inch as well. It's a heavy saw for sure . I have a 450 rancher that I use for smaller stuff and the 572 does all the bigger felling...
And what's worse than that!!!
The 572 after eating Black Jack oak for breakfast [ATTACH]
Power saws run at around 10,000 rpm ( it varies) and generate a lot of heat. I think your asking for trouble using oil not designed for chainsaws.
You're absolutely correct. More than one beer has been consumed while admiring the harvested wood talking about the "process". :stacker:
Ready for next year. Just working on the "backlog"[ATTACH]
I tried to find one that didn't have brakes, but it took almost a month to find this truck, that would have made it dam near impossible.
Oh stop.....you guys would love my crank down windows!!
Ha! Should start a standard cab Pride thread![ATTACH]
Nice truck. Glad to see another standard cab guy around here!
I made the switch to a safety razor last year. The blades are way cheaper than cartridge or even disposable razors. I think the shave is better...
I upgraded to the Great Wall of Fire this year. What a difference it made in the efficiency of my fire place. Great idea with the fan.
I use the Wood Mizer pickaroon and Peavy. Both are steel , made in USA and solidly built. They make moving logs and rounds so much easier.
That thing looks great. Your FIL would be proud!
Beaver Tooth also has some nice handles, but like Baldhornet said, House has a huge selection. When I work with house I usually pay the extra...
I won't start my saw without my chaps on. Saw injuries are generally grizzly things. Glad you geared up. That little nick would have sent you...
