I'd be lookin at Dolmar & Husqvarna for a 'good' small saw. Get a Husq 545 and you probably wont use the ms290 any more. :)
Excellent Bars!
I just took a close look at mine, there is a little bit of fine dust in the air horn. Opened the filter and can see it is coming in through the...
Might just be as simple as replacing the filter. Plastic warped and not fitting as tight as it should?
It's not really a problem at all. I've never had a saw with an O ring or gasket where the air filter attaches. Have 7 or 8 saws with similar air...
I've not had that problem with the 562. Did have some fine dust getting in the old 346, but 15 years of hard use and no issues.
That saw put an end to me trying to build the 'fastest' 346.o_Oo_Oo_O Hell, it is faster than my ported 357...
Large mount, but I think they made one small bar for the little top handle xp?
Tips were blowing out, but I think it was just in extreme use ?
I have a couple Carlton Speed Tips and they do seem to be the same quality as the older ones.
I've bought a few non running saws, most were a bit worse than I expected. But I would never think of trying to get a refund! When a person buys...
I have sugi, total & others, but like these as good as any. [IMG]
Yes
I still have one of the original TechLites. Very Good Bar!

Back pressure not so much needed in a 2 stoke, but a straight open exhaust isn't so good either. When gutted the exhaust port lines up with the...
I gutted the first, took everything out including all the metal under the deflector. Loud as hell and not a huge gain in power. So sold that...
Same rim that fits a 346xp. They are very easy to find.
I buy Oregon loops here; loggerchain.com Great service and Great prices!
Sounds like chain I would not even consider buying. Where is it made?
