Just for you Ash! [ATTACH]
I’m doing the same using 8x16” 2” or 4” thick bricks. Then I made the 2x4 H frames that are 66” wide 11-12” on center, a little less than half the...
Pro 22c with auto. Love the machine. Everything.
I’ll have to set a kid up with a phone for the video. More to come.
Just received shipment of Wolfe Ridge Friday. Just finished getting six cord of wood put up in the new shed before the snow starts blowing and the...
I re-built my shed. This is now a 20 cord shed. It will end up with a metal roof but with a vapor barrier on a OSB deck. [ATTACH]
Pressure treated 4x6 sunk 24” in post hole with 100 to 150 lb quickrete. There is some lateral sway if I was on the roof and trying to rock it at...
Close to 20 cord with room to spare by my estimate.
I designed it architecturally and had help from a structural engineer on snow and wind load. All 8 posts anchored at 24” deep with 150 lb cement....
Added a 44’x16’ roof and a third 12’x12’ bay. 8’ high at the bottom front beams. It is an engineered structure designed for 10 lb dead and 20 lb...
Interesting material. About $100/square. Cheap 3 tab is about $75/square as a comparison.
I did the structural calculations to rebuild it with 4x10x16’ headers on 12’ spans and 2x8x16’ rafters on 12’ span, OSB sheathed deck, whatever...
Lean to. All the screws are tight and have been re-secured with sealant as well. All depends on weather. Cold foggy nights it rains under there....
A new roof will cost me about $1500, and that includes adding an additional 12’x12’ bay, and a roof that overhangs 18” all around (currently flush...
It drips where it is sitting on the purlins. The screws are not leaking. It doesn’t drip at all when it’s raining.
Agreed. At this point I’ll just asphalt shingle the sheathed and vapor barrier deck.
I like the way you're thinking but I'm not going to go all psychrometric on my wood shed. [IMG]
It must be. Everyone that loves them is in the northeast. I could then say that metal roof wood sheds are not so good in the western Washington...
It is west facing, open to prevailing breeze. Full sun from noon on.
The shed is just a roof. I don’t think it’s an airflow problem. It is two 12’ x 12’ bays with a 1:6 pitch.
