I've looked at both scuts and cuts and really like the scut features overall. I'd say 60% of my use with the tractor is mowing. My 445 does this...
The driveways are flat but the yard can get very wet due to drain off from the field next to me. Even with the worst rains though it does dry out...
Would you recommend R4's over the turf tires then? My work consists of mowing 1.5 acres of manicured yard in the summer and clearing a 200'...
Yea I was more stating for my situation. Being that you do fine with R1 ag tires then I'm sure I'll do fine with the R4's
Good to know Stang. I think in sold on the R4's for the next tractor.
Rutting when wet is the one concern I still have with the R4's. From what I've read it doesn't sound like its too big of an issue though, like you...
Thanks for the video bullit! Looks like it has no problem.
Good point MM, I was referring to actual R3 tires. It does sound like if I end up with R4's I will be just fine.
I was thinking the same too about the R4's being more puncture resistant
That's good to know. I'm sure any tires would have problems on freezing rain. Glad they are working for you guys. I feel much better about them now
Yea I am still undecided if I want to fill them or not. I currently have 3 weights on each rear of my current tractor and you are right, they can...
If you do fine with R1's then the R4's should have no problem.
That's a great idea with the rubber mat as a scraper! I've seen posts about that on a tractor forum
Yea that's a good point gas. I try to keep it clean and ice free and the loader def helps do that.
Good to know. My driveway is slightly downhill as well. That must be a good size plow for your tractor!
Thanks for info gasifier. 4x4. I'd def have wheel weights on the rear so that makes me feel better
I'm looking at getting a subcompact tractor and wondering what tires you guys have used or prefer. I currently have a John Deere Garden Tractor...
I forgot to mention my setup is double wall pipe with a flue probe. My temps normally stay between 400-600F as well. Soft wood and I can keep it...
I played with my damper some last year and had the same problem. It helped slow the draft down during peak blaze but seemed to stall the fire box...
Thanks for the info Jeff T! I read about that gasket in the manual as well. Sounds pretty simple overall
