I split about 10 rounds and this hickory splits much easier than the shagbark I have dealt with.
So far all the shagbark hickory I have run into was extremely stringy like elm, took a full cycle with the splitter.. hopefully this stuff splits...
Thanks, yes knots are not forgiving on the body. I noodle bigger rounds if needed instead of splitting on site
I guess I will find out soon enough. I have a hydraulic splitter, I don’t have the desire to hand split anymore.. I respect people that split by hand.
