Looking down into the plug boot, pull just a bit on the wire. If you see the spring wire move you are still good. Push the wire back in place.

You lookin at 2 or 4x4? I plow with R4's and they do fine with no chains, rears are filled.
Wouldn't be something I'd want to use but, the one in the OP looks no more dangerous than the buzz saw we used when I was a kid.
If I remember right there is a bit of slotting of the holes required.
