Did a hot & fast rib eye tonight. Getting more comfortable with this cooker. 550* 2 minutes each side. Shut it down, flip back to the 1st side for 6 min. for about a medium. Nice pink to red inside with lot's of juice left in it.
Forgot on the grill pics, but both venison and modified ABTs were good. I brought the ABTs to a party and twenty minutes after putting them out they were about gone so I guess they were alright.
Sweet peppers instead of jalapenos. In today's case I had regular old green peppers on hand. My kids won't do too spicy things.
First time I made them I was amazed how the cooking took a lot of the heat out of the pepper! I don't care what you make, if it has bacon..........
The long cook time and lengthy rest period paid off on the smallish picnics. They barely held together when I lifted them out of the cooler. I might be able to get a pic of the leftovers.... Thanks again for the helpful tips, fellas
Just hot dogs on the fire pit at the river camp up here. No great culinary break throughs here, just perfect weather after a hot and humid few days.
McKinnons in Portsmouth had tenderloin on sale for 8.88/lb. But it was Friday when I was passing through there-90 plus degrees, humid and I wasnt going straight home so I didnt stop like I had wanted to
We munched the steaks down. Sorry no finished pics! Even my supposed vegetarian wife said they were good...
I keep eating the evidence. However, tonight we had mushroom and Swiss turkey burgers on brioche buns with sweet corn on the cob. I didn't grill the corn, but I probably should next time.
My head was not in the game on Friday Work BS taking up too much space between the ears...on my vacation day to boot
