    Hello
The rubber foot pads actually held moisture under them which accelerated the rusting!
So for approx a whopping $30 bucks, I got some steel diamond plate that was easy to cut the same size as the rubber foot pads with a jig saw and weld them in!

    Any one also do this?
This seams stronger and may last?
Now I have to ad quick steel to putty the holes and then some primer and paint.
Also upgraded the OEM tractor seat. :)

I wonder if truck bed liner spray or roll on would work after welding and cleabing the rusted holes. Or even wheel well undercoating?

    Hello
Wow, that quick steel hardens very Quick and gets very hot!
U can only mix a very small amount at a time!
The quick steel works quite well and grinds down nicely. It is expensive though.
My welding friend’s advice is to just put a piece of aluminum under the hole and weld it and remove the aluminum then grind it down. Faster and cheaper if you are a good welder.

The new floor plates look fine.If you did not sand/grind and treat the metal underneath, will happen again. The metal epoxy will probably fall out from vibration/flex. You need to take a welding class,LOL.

I did have welding training and still learning. The new epoxy putties are really good but we will see how long they last. My welder friend just said put a piece of aluminum behind the hole and weld it, so maybe I will try that next, certainly good stuff to learn and be good at. :) Have you done that trick?
Also got Por-15 to treat the metal underneath. Looks like good stuff,

    Hello
The type of metal and the rusting makes it very difficult to weld the small holes. Therefore Since most of the welding went well, I am filling in with the quick steel to make it look better after painting and undercoating. The Por-15 is the best undercoating, it can be painted over rust.
So we will see but better than no??

After about a month and getting a package with no contents except the plastic bag with a paint label, sears sent out another can of Polo Green custom color and I got in a box instead of a bubble envelope!
So I just finished masking and applying the first coat!

The welded diamond plate will not fall off like the rubber foot pads did and may last longer than the tractor. LOL
