    Hello
The basic seat was ok but over 15 years it developed quite a few rips and tears.
Just putting another OEM Sears seat back on did not seam very appealing!
    Has anyone done an upgrade?
I found this seat at the local Tractor Supply and with the high back and arm rests for $155 seamed like a good fit. Well universal tractor seats are not all good fits. This one did work after I flipped the slides around so I could slide the seat on from the back instead of the front because the steering wheel was in the way from the front.
Also had to add more grease to the slides and bend the stop tab a bit to slide it all the way on but since I saved about that much when I fixed the carburetor and tuned it up myself it was a good treat!

The arm rests make it nice and cozy. :)
    How does it look now?

    Nice upgrade Don.
I hate the seat on my Cub, and I've thought of doing the same thing.

    Thanks
Only took a couple of hours. Would have been real quick if it was made to fit like the OEM! LOL
Here is a nice yellow seat for your cubbie :)

Looks like a nice seat. If it's not a pretty simple unbolt, bolt on deal, I don't wanna' mess with it. Too many other projects.
Specs say seat back height: high. WTH? I want a dimension. Goofy. The back on mine isn't high enough, and I'll never figure out why tractor seats have the driver in an almost reclining position if you lean into the seat back.
Still liking the armrests? I keep mine in the up position most of the time. I'm on and off the tractor too often I guess.

Yes, I like the arm rests, makes it more comfy.
The seat would not slip on from the front like it should because it hit the wheel, so I took them off the seat and reversed them so it would slip on from the back. The only problem there is that it could slip off the back while riding! LOL so I put 2 bolts in the bracket on the back with lock washers and nuts so it will never slip off! :) LOL

 :rofl:  I can just see you riding around sliding back and forth, then going off the back end on an incline. :hair: Kinda' funny to think about, unless you're the driver/slider.

Many years ago I hand a crapsman tractor, I put a bucket seat from a Vega on it. Drill a couple of holes and some wood shims to level it and viola, comfort.
