Hello The delivery of On Demand is a longer wait! So now they have On Command for the On Demand! On Command is the recirculating pump that you put under the sink with the special motion sensor so when you are near it goes into action and brings up the hot water in the hot water pipe by dumping the water in the cold water pipe so no water is wasted and the water is nice and hot as soon as you turn on the faucet! Taco makes a good pump for over $400 and the special motion sensor for under $100! That costs as much as my big On Deman Panel!! What about a cheap under sink On Demand? Would that do what the On Command does? See On Command Motion sensor for On Command What about another under sink On Demand? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Waste-Ki...MI9cup_fm04AIVXVgNCh2bggAmEAQYCSABEgL_YPD_BwE
Hi Don I just have the EcoSmart tankless water heater. I have read a little about the motion activated hot water recirc. pumps but dont really see the need for my small house. All my plumbing is in a 20' area all at the back wall of my house. It does take a while for the hot water to get to faucets though. So it does waste a little water waiting, but i'm on a well. I've also thought about preheating water in a storage tank before the water heater just to bring it up to temp faster, but it would be a pretty big expense for the small gain. I've thought about the new evacuated solar systems for preheating a storage tank, but again, the expense seems high...and the sun hasn't shined in 8 months here.
If you plumb correctly you could potentially do just a gravity fed recirculation system. You need "x" amount of feet do that though. Since cold water is denser, is sinks and flows back to the tank. I've heard it works for standard hot water tanks, no idea about on demand.
I can believe that with a tank type heater but the EcoSmart has a flow sensor with a little paddle wheel that needs to spin to sense flow, checks inflow and out flow temps, then it will fire the elements.
Rachel’s Problem all began after she had an On Demand DHW Panel Installed See Rich thetheway! Here is R.T. Again!
This recirc system is really cool!!! This is cool because you can do additional sinks with a $40 add on kit!
IDK but its in the specs... WATTS HOT WATER RECIRCULATING SYSTEM: The Kit Includes: Pump with timer, 2 adapters with rubber washers, valve mounting screws, sensor valve, two 12-inch supply lines RECIRCULATING PUMP WITH TIMER: 24-hour programmable timer activates pump when you need it. And it is extremely quiet compared to other system in the market - no vibrations. Do not use with tankless water heaters. Insert the 115V plug on the line cord from the pump into a properly grounded 115V outlet
Oh well The system that Richard Thetheway Installed was an a Gas tankless Hot Water Panel for Racheal in the vid above!
Hey Turbo Just found this to use with my eco Smartie Panel It is made to work with it for only $176.00 Buckos!
TurboDiesel do you have any experience with any of the leak detector systems that shut off the water? I have a finished basement and would like to install one. Thanks.
Our Rinnai tankless has been trouble free for 12 years. Maintenance is a vinegar flush once a year to clean out the piping. So you can't wait maybe 30 seconds for hot water ? What gives ? Like the idea of a leak detector in the system. The one we have on the floor in the utility room is a simple battery unit.
