Have you ordered the bigger blower yet? :D:makeitrain"

(Actually, for a basement installation, I would probably run the standard one for a while. In the living room, I'd pay the buck$ for the upgrade in a heartbeat.)

The other one I have only goes up to 700 , comparing the two though under 700 , I get the same reading on both

My ir meter was a gift and only goes up to 600. Since I run an nc30 that means it usually just reads “hot”. Get a higher range!

I do use it on my single wall pipe and it is odd how the back is much hotter than the front in places. I would prefer a probe meter but all of the non electric ones are for double wall pipes.

Not yet. I'm gonna run it with the smaller blower for this year. Maybe next year.

The worst thing about the other one I have is every time you pull the trigger , You have to switch it From Celsius to Fahrenheit , There is no way to make it stay on Fahrenheit :fart:

So after reading about Horkn having to replace his door gasket I thought I would check mine for chits and giggles. I'm glad I did as it failed the dollar bill test on the top right corner and bottom right corner of the door (latch side).

Is the latch adjustable on the 30nc? I know the englander website states it takes a 5/8" gasket. Is that a high density gasket? Is it normal for it to fail already?

I may have been cranking on the latch too hard early on so this is most likely from user error :emb:

Yeah, I think those are HD gaskets...and pretty sure the door latch is adjustable...doesn't surprise me that it would need adjustment after break in.

No adjustments. Replace the gasket if you feel you’ve lost control. It’s a noncat and full of holes already, I would not worry about small door gasket leakage on this stove.

yep high density material, if you replace it . bunch it together do not pull it taunt when gluing in place. pulling it taunt will make it too loose after a couple of burns.

I haven't lost control of it thankfully. I will try squeezing it to see if I gain any control. At this point I dont feel the need to replace it until next year.

Thanks for the heads up. I would hate to go buy a regular one just to find out it wont do the job.

Right where I want to be.
We've had this convo before.......the Englander gasket is the one to use. I've tried 2 other brands with poor results.
Yep, no adjustment on the door. I hate......or very highly dislike:picard:, the handle on this stove, but it doesn't seem to matter when burning.

That's the one thing on this stove that seems "cheap" IMO

Shouldn't need to replace a gasket on a brand new stove .
Get a straight edge and check your door Horizontally and vertically to see if it is flat
