Well ... let me put it to You this way ... I can make FAR more $$$ running ‘em than I could ever hope to make modding them ... most saws are gonna take a full day to modify and test ... now if you’ll excuse me ... I have some wood to cut !

No baffles, just an empty can needing to breathe.

No baffle ? Hmm was one on my 261c when I split the muffler ... maybe you have a different version? 2B05AE9A-54A1-4BF0-91DD-68DB6C606146.jpeg

Are you referring to the screen retainer as a baffle?

Fabz , This saw just seems to run like crap compared to the video Redfin posted. The wood he is cutting is way bigger, he looks like he is leaning on his alot more than you are leaning on yours, and his saw isn’t falling on its face, like yours looks to be when you lean on it, even in that small stick that you are cutting. Is there a chance that you posted a video of the stock MS261 ?

    WOW !!
    Is this saw ported ?
    It is hauling !!
    NICE work Sir !!

Fabz said a bunch of times that this saw wouldn’t take to porting ..... didn’t need porting.......... and that his was as good as or better than any ported MS261.

He had to post a video of a stock MS261, because to me, there is a world of difference between the two saws that you and he posted

I just cut 2.5-3 Times the volume of wood 11 cuts to 3 ... don’t be that impressed with these “wild-wood” saws ... they make lotsa noise but don’t produce any power

Go back and listen to red fins video ... mid way thru the 3rd cut you can clearly here the rpms dropping either because he was pushing hard or heat-sink ...that’s only 30sec of run time guy ! I STIHL have 7:59:30 to cut for the day and after 30sec saw is loosing power ? Not trying to start an argument but if a saw can’t cut for at least 10min straight I’m not having it in my stable ... just mho ... your mileage may vary !
