Evening folks. My Absolute steel just showed up today and since I didn't get all my pipe...I've decided to put a flue thermometer in. Does anyone that has an AS know which models I need? Flue and cat? I've looked on their website but couldn't find anything for woodstock.
I can’t help with the cat, but for the flue I would suggest a probe style even with single wall pipe. Condar makes two models, one is fairly colorful and in Fahrenheit and the other is black and white with Celcius on the outside and Fahrenheit on the inside. There are a couple other brands as well. Any of them will work, although the accuracy and reliability may vary and none will be as good as digital thermocouples. Installing is as simple as drilling a small hole and sticking it in, so don’t let that stop you.

Give woodstock a call, they should have them both in stock. I need to pick up a cat probe, going by color when you need to lift the lid with a pot of water on it is a pita
