That's a good change. I tried to tighten the latch to make the door seal tighter and sheered off one of the bolts holding the latch to the body of the stove when I tried to loosen it. It turns out it wasn't even necessary. The Allen head bolt holding the handle to the door had worked its way loose making it seal poorly. All I had needed to do was tighten the Allen head bolt. The new door handle fixes that too.

They listen very closely to their Beta testers' reports.

Two slabs standing on end on the sides (so 9" wide), and three across the back (7+").

I like the latch looks. Screwing the top side-pieces on is a good idea, but after you drop them off once or twice by accident you start to get the clue. We are quite interested in the door gasket moving inward. I think it should help reduce the ash that can fall between the frame and door (and the onto the ash lip when you open the door).

You'll be fine if you use a fire damper, they cost under $100 and pass code and insurance companies are ok with them.

I keep going back and forth on what to do. Like the looks of the IS and the increase in firebox whould be nice as well.
