Finally got my hands on something to practice on! A friend of my dads had 2 pines cut down for fear of them falling on his house. I milled him some boards and he said I could have the rest. Yahtzee! . The one we cut was about 11 1/4x8". This was just a square filed "work" chain. Nothing special. Then I swapped out to a chain I spent some time on. First cut w/ this chain was laughable. Rakers were untouched, cut was very slow and wandered. So I took 'em down a little and: And here's my dd357. Off the roll stihl rs. Can't wait to run them w/ the same b/c. Just have to swap to a 7 pin. More on that later
My son had to give a go as well. By our stop watch, the 2150 won by a hair. The square .325 really cuts well.
