The second way, the liner is inside tile lined masonry chimney ,going to use 4" pipe as recommended in the manual.

 

The guys that delivered the new stove wish some one would have stole it before they got here

 

TT do they both work well for you?? ,do you find one better than the other??

Both methods work perfectly fine! In my particular situation, the P43 pellet vent terminates at the entrance to a 6" Class A wood stove flue. I was initially worried about doing this because I read and over analyze too much and people tend to express concerns this method can lead to improper draft and so forth. The stove shop told me don't worry so much. They were right. I don't have any issues, the stove runs like a top and produces fantastic heat!

I will post some pics after, you are going to chuckle at the simplicity of this venting.

 

Here is the P43 venting. It's 3" PVP into an 8" adapter. I've seen pictures of these adapters before, but this is the first time I've seen one in real life use. Behind the 8" adapter is a 6" supervent flue with an 8" outer ring that protrudes about an inch from the brick, so the 8" adapter fits perfectly snug over it, creating an air-tight seal. The 6" supervent flue goes 2' horizontal, and then up 20' to the top.
