I know it's been a while since I posted, just been super busy. Burning the candle at three ends! Hope all of you are well, I usually check out the forum every day or so, and I'm always here if anyone needs me. I promise to post more as the summer balances itself out.....

Cutting quite a bit of wood this year, just returned from a pruning job this evening. Been cutting an abnormal amount of maple this season, have 4 to do this weekend along with a big red oak! I'll try to get some pics....

Also we've taken our car to quite a few Cruise-Ins with three this week to go to.....I forgot how much I loved old hot rods!!

Keep in touch guys, hope you've all been blessed in some way this season. Burning time is only a couple months away!!!

Good to hear from you Scott. No surprise you're busy. The Cruise-Ins sound like a blast!

Better to be busy than not, Scotty Overkill :saw:
And why'd ya have to go and put the burn time in a monthly perspective, man?! J/K- those of us small property town dwellers will have to pull out all the stops to be ready.....
Stay hard at it, and savor the down time with family- that's a real blessing!

Hey Scotty, glad you checked in. How's the family?
We lived less than a block from Fort St. where the Downriver Cruise was held. We just grabbed some chairs, walked down the block, and set up with the camera.
Still have a bunch of pics.....awesome cars.
The plant where I last worked was full of old gearheads who had quite a variety of old cars, and they'd do a yearly GTG in the parking lot. Gooder stuff.
Have you posted about this car in the past?

It is like I tell my kids, "enjoy, do things while you can, but don't forget to pick up the phone and let me know you are alive".

papadave here's my toy....bought it last spring down in Greensboro, NC. It's a 1971 Maverick Grabber with 58,000 original miles. Painted Calypso Coral (aka Competition Orange). Motor is built nicely with a lumpy cam, but still streetable.. 20150525_125811.jpg 20150607_203929-1.jpg 20150524_115244-1-1.jpg

    Nice.
I knew a guy and his son who both had nice Mavericks, but I don't think they were "Grabbers".

You going all soft us? I'd expect that of a Chevy owner....not a Ford owner! :)

We miss you too Scotty...in a rugged wood hoarding way of course. :)
