I just got back from taking the little woman out........it's here birthday. I'm just now finishing assembling the saw..... Yeah Matt.......that's the R&D jug.
Been a little busy here Dex, square filed a 108DL .404 RS after grinding away at a new muffler. Looking for a box to fit an 066 in, has to travel to Tenn. My 36" stumpin setup is just about complete !! I see you have been playing with your new chain vise. How do you like it ? Have you been practicing your square filing ? Send me your dull ones if you want, postage on me ........... I still owe you.
Well that wasn't very nice of Stihl now was it? 3 seconds is a fair amount of gain in that size wood I'd say.
In the intake port? Oh yeah. I would not want the rings running over it though. After running the saw I tore it down to check everything........right as rain.
Or warp the jug out of round..... The Devcon I'm using is aluminum impregnated. It's really good stuff.
I agree that welding it is risky. Even if its technically possible, its also likely to ruin a cylinder or two every so often. One ruined cylinder flushes an awful lot of time down the drain.
no worries, really! I wanna get 12-15 tanks threw it 1st to get a feel for it, so I can really appreciate the extra power when it comes back. Thanks for all you do!! I mean that!! Putting up with all of us on these forums, countless emails behind the scene, plus still having time to R&D saws, and build them, I think I'd go postal in those shoes!!
