Fahrenheit flame height!

    His takes a 4 wire 24 volt tstat,diagram cannot tell if it needs jumper,older manual not so good.All it says is program in manual mode,then set heat level.

    Yours has nice clean low burn!I figured his needs jumper or board is bad as there is not much else in the older ones,but wanted another opinion.

    I have replaced the combustion blower (more CFM), the impeller to a larger one (more CFM), updated exhaust manifold (more CFM), new Sail Switch (more CFM), along with nee gaskets, and I gasketed the burn pot and receptacle because of so many large gaps.

    Calling 343amc. I hope he can help with this pilot burn problem.

    That thing should be kicking a flame that hits the baffle if you are on level 3 or above.

    I have 3 ton in the garage and a ton in the closet off to the right..

    That's just what is kept close to the furnace. I have plenty more ;) lol

    Even on level 1 the furnace creates a fair amount of heat. Especially of you run the auger trim to the max.

    I'm in conversation with Matt Fitts and I'm crossing fingers we can figure this out! Enjoying the much needed heat from the furnace in this nasty cold spell.

    Can someone recommend a decent thermostat for the Fahrenheit? I gather I need a 24 volt 4-wire t-stat.

    4 wire?

    Mine only has a 2 wire?

    A lux 500 or 1500 is a good unit. It needs it's own power source. The furnace can not supply power to the stat.

    From what I saw in the manual that was in post #12, it looks like the unit needs a 4-wire hook up to a 24 v. stat.

    But you only use the R and W (2 wires).


    See arrows pointing at 2 wires on page 12. Also note the wiring schematic.

    That is not the control board on the furnace. It is the back of the thermostat. Showing which 2 locations to put the two wires from the furnace.

    This furnace is no different than any standard pellet stove. So any Tstat that has its own power supply will work. It's not a 24 milivolt unit. That is the furnace (remember, the schematic shows the Existing furnace. Because this is an add on.)

    I asked Matt from Fahrenheit regarding a T-stat hook up and he wrote back with the following;
    For thermostatic controlling of the Endurance, only two wires are used (Red & White). 4 wires can be used, but only 2 are necessary. See page 22 on the top right corner to see how this is wired. Thermostat must be of the mV class. In other words, not all t-stats work on our machine. If you read the box or t-stat descriptions, you are looking for 750mV to be called out.

    In other words, a typical millivolt unit like the ones Dex and I mentioned above should work fine.

    So can the Fahrenheit controller supply 24V which could run the thermostat over the battery option? It looks that way according to the t-stat connection on the schematic. Just curious as I would prefer not to use batteries given the option.

    No. Must use batteries. That pic in the manual is of the back of a Thermostat, not the control panel.

    The Fahrenheit has a small 2 block connector.

    They say you can use a 4 wire line. Heck, you could use a 6 wire line. But only 2 of them are going to be used. :)
