Some RTV silicon might work better than locktite.

The suction port of a lot of the 2 stage pumps are just pressed in. Common cause for failures are it too stiff of a suction hose & not enough of a distance/length of hose for the hose to act as a vibration dampener.

As Gary recommended, clean it well then sleeve retainer.

Yes it is a pressed in hose barb.

Get both surfaces totally oil free. Go git ya some acetone.

Use Loctite 680. Apply then insert the barb. Put a piece of 1x across the barb then give it a light smack with a mallet to set it in the hole.

Like others before me have said, it's a press fit fitting.

Totally degrease both surfaces, use green loctite sold for locking down engine rod/main bearings, and put it back together.

Someone else had mentioned SAE ORB fittings. I will toss in a comment that these are what I prefer for hydraulic systems requiring leak free performance. JIC is second. I avoid NPT if at all possible unless it's permanent and the fitting is brazed.
