Great deal. I think the hours were inflated by the owner leaving the key on. The high hours and dead battery scream that the key was left on a number of times. ZTHD has the zt-3100 fully serviceable drives like I got on my Kubota I picked up a couple of weeks ago. That's a Kawasaki v twin. Check under the cowling as those like to get clippings and such stuck and then they overheat many times causing valve guide walk out and then low to no compression. That's definitely not a 2017 or newer, as it's the old body/ chassis style Gravely. For $500, even if it actually has 2700 hrs on it, it's hard to go wrong. How are the drives do they both drive straight when at full speed? Any leaks? How is the color of the hydro fluid? Any idea when they were last serviced?

I don’t want to assume…I have a feeling those spindles will be ok. Worse case, they may need a bit of grease.

I had an older (1980’s) Bunton walk behind that I bought around 2005 that had the original spindles. They eventually crapped out, but had A LOT of hours on them.

She thought they had more paperwork, some maintenance history & such. I still have some things to go through, didn’t find anything yet. Yes, the 2700 hours seems high, maybe the key was on, never thought of that as contributing, maybe.

Here’s the model & serial number. It does drive fine & straight, I’ll get to the hydro fluid soon. Even if I don’t do the spindles, I at least want to check them better. This mower like many have the sealed spindles, no grease zerks. That’s an issue with varying opinions.

    Yeah that's a 2013 gravely ztHD 60" that's definitely a Kawasaki, and probably a 24 HP FR730V.

Thanks, so 2013 model. I still have some evaluation to do. Somewhat related is a relative that mentioned offering up a new zero turn Cub Cadet that he may not want to keep. He said it was likely more mower than he needs. He did get it for a good price, and would still cost me over $2500.

I really don’t need that mower, it appears.

I'd take that 2013 Gravely over a brand new Cub Cadet.
