Probably autoexposure. sometimes you can tap on the screen and an exposure slide will pop up that you can adjust down a couple of stops Most phone cameras pick the brightest spot on the screen to set exposure levels in attempt to make a more "daylight" pic. sometimes a blurry/unfocused pic is due to exposure time. It's really hard to hold many cameras steady for "long" exposure times. Again , autoexposur is trying to maximize picture quality
I remember all the caves where we used to camp out during winter. We stayed just on the east side of the dunes. Several times we camped close to the gold mine. They finally did close it and tore down all the fences so we got to look around more then.
Off Ogilby road. Going north a couple miles and after the RR tracks I think it was the second road to the right. It was the American Girl mine. They tore down all the fences and moved everything out over 20 years ago.
