Yeah... lots of idiots out there. I think I heard invoices were to be sent out to cover cost of rescues, depending on IQ.

Ugh, those people need to have their heads examined because they are clearly off their rockers.

Some of those "idiots" are rescue team members themselves. They're out there to challenge themselves and have the experience and gear to do so.

Some of us actually have to do the job we are trained and paid to do.

First pic from Sunday during height of storm DSCF0585.JPG Pic taken yesterday morning. I didn't measure but according to the local news our town got 11.5" which was the lowest among towns/cities they listed. 11.5" too much if you ask me!!!

EDIT: I just went on their website and it shows 14.6" for my town. 11.5" is what they said on the air. DSCF0586.JPG

    I'll just leave this here

I used to know a couple of people that only had a motorcycle for transportation and would see them out in all weather (one worked for the HD shop that used to bein Concord).

I saw another picture on FB, just a couple of days after the last storm that featured a different bike (IIRC) and the roads still having snow on them. I'd guess studded tires. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a screen shot of that one.
