More expansion work at our plant.

Walls are almost done, 1 door frame has been installed.

 

The big anchors are going in quicker...
The 2 mills have come in...

 

Came back to work Thursday night after our days off. We've had dry weather, so work is getting done.
Lot more anchors have been installed Started another section of anchors today...
The steel crew is here now too.
They have the big fan and mill set on the middle slab...
Beams were set Thursday...
Structure has been added Friday...
Pieces of the puzzle are laid out...
A lot of memories were made here where this slab is...
It was our old foreman shack, lol...Ot was there when I started in '89, I don't know how old it was. Over the years, I have received work orders and given work orders in that building.
Not sure what will be going in that spot.

 

Area where the calciner will be built, got all the anchors cut down to below slab grade.

More steel structure has been added, they will soon add steel decking on the levels where concrete will be poured...

 

What is the roots blower for?

 

We use those with a fuller pumps to move our kaolin clays to different silos.
All our products are in powder form, we don't run any slurries

 

We get lime deliveries at work...the trucks all have PTO powered roots blowers to pressurize the trailer, which blows the powder into the storage tower.
Once in the tower it's gravity fed from there on.

 

Yep, we get deliveries like that too. Also, ise same set up to unload railcars

 

After returning from our Ohio trip, came back to work and saw they had gotten the caps on the anchors and poured the concrete floors.
They have dug out and started installing more of the smaller anchors to the right of the calciner pad...

 

Looks like all the anchors have been installed now. Small pad for rebar has been poured on the calciner spot.

 

Looks like concrete will be poured for the main calciner pad soon, got forms, rebar and conduit in.

 

Steel crew has been here a couple days, putting more pieces of the puzzle together...

 

Hanging some steps today...

Off 4 days, come back and they have gotten 2 more tanks set and added more structure above them...

 

They built the roof for the MCC room, I guess you could set a tractor on top to work on it...looks like 8 orn10" I-beam and channel iron...
Got the rebar and bolts set to hold the calciner building part of the pad done...
Concrete bumper is here today...
And the steel crew is hanging those pieces up high...

 

I believe the main structure is done. They are installing the sections of the dust collectors today.

Concrete has been poured for the feed silos....

 

The contractor looks like he keeps the jobsite nice and neat, Keep the pictures coming Jeff!

 

Agreed...but almost have to keep it organized with putting together that 1 million piece jigsaw puzzle!

 

I have been on much bigger projects that have been much messier!
