That happened to us a couple yrs ago, on the first day we started cutting oak trees on that Plantation job. Drove over a small top on there went the valve stem. Rear tires are fun when full of ballast.

We had to dig the hole to bury Nova this last week. The ground was frozen solid almost 2 ft deep. I had to jackhammer the bobcat forks into the frozen ground and pop out chunks. We made it through the frost and the variable speed seal blew out. I barely made it back to the driveway. Now I have to track down the parts and get it put back together. I don’t know why they used ~1/4” thick o-rings. Would have been much simpler with regular o-rings.

Remember that snowmobile I put a brand new top end in 2 years ago? Pitons, rings, bearings, cylinders…..

    Less than 10 miles later:

I have to figure out what the issue is before I start launching the parts cannon. 90 psi on this side, 120 psi on the other. It’ll run enough to get it on the trailer and bring it back to the flatlands.

Correct! 2002 Arctic Cat Z570. Last time it burned down, I found safety wire connecting the oil line to the pump and it was leaking. Fixed the line, OEM connector and I thought it was good to go…

Most people delete the autolube oil pump and just premix the fuel once they start causing trouble

I trusted the oil pump in my jet boat and burned it up. The next motor will get premix.

That’s probably what will happen. Usually those pumps are pretty reliable.

This sled was a first year for this engine. Some part numbers changes on 2003 and up. Some say the CDI runs hot, some say the oil pumps aren’t good…

Tree didn’t go where I wanted it too. My wife was eyeing a new patio set, so only real damage was to my pride.

Cast Aluminum? Get a Maasdam kit. $160 of cheap insurance. For your pride. Glad the damage is minimal and no one was hurt.

Glad it was just the patio set and not the house.
