I think I did read here on FHC about one of the mods doing an audit. Maybe he was doing our books and noticed FHC was a bit low on cash:rofl: :rofl:

I had them laced fairly tight, still had a little bit inside...I didn't have my chaps with me...probably would have a heat stroke with them on...it was low 90's and humidity went thru the roof, started raining before we got home.

I know it was blasphemous to throw that pecan away, but if ya'll knew how much we had down here and how far behind we are, Maybe, just maybe, we can be forgiven.
That tree at the first of this post, cut in '22...we still have those logs piled up, about 2 cords, spalted and fungus. Hope to give it to a friend for their hunting camp. Plus another couple piles of pecan logs.
We have a ton of oak and a cord of hickory to process, not enough hrs in a day...and we have had rain nearly every day since around the 4th...
My work schedule and helping our son cut a 50' right-of-way for electric line to his new place...

Our friend, Gary, called the ther day, said he had 3 big oaks down from the storm. Could we stop by and move logs to his mill and pick up the rest for farwood. Sure we can...
When we got there, he was cutting a pine and got his saw pinched, took tractor and pushed it over...
Then we started on the oak, these were so heavy, used the tongs on one end and dragged them to the mill.

Got a load of farwood, still have a bit left...the big logs on top was a 12'er, it had split in several spots when he was cutting it off the trunk. Had to cut it to 6' to load. 20241018_141839.jpg
    He had 3 16' pine logs, 6 12' and 1 10' oak logs 20241019_073936.jpg

Seemingly endless supply of logs available for you after the storm.

Could you use any milled lumber around your wood yard?

If we were building more sheds, we could. Trying to use more totes, now that we can get them

We were blessed this time. Cross posted in Git'ter done down in Dixie thread...
Friends had about a dozen trees close to their house taken down, they had the tree service saved some of the logs for us... 1000016019.jpg
We hauled 1 load so far... 1000016023.jpg
Probably another load or so in this pile... 1000016024.jpg
She also told us to look in the brush pile, might could pull some out from there. Moved the pile around 1000016025.jpg and rescued about another cord from there... 1000016022.jpg 1000016021.jpg
