No doubt Saves. Agreed. It WILL be nice to do what I want, and when I want, after retirement though.

Caffeine! Might have to cut some firewood today. Will definitely get some outdoor activities in. A little chilly out there, but dress right, and once I get going I will be plenty warm.

I’m a Grandpa again! :) My daughter gave birth to a healthy baby girl! She and Mom were discharged the very next day and home and doing well. Sydney was born on her father’s Birthday. Grandparents on the other side live close by. So we will give them all time to settle and relax. Then it’s time to plan out a trip!

Our bernese mountain dog developed a limp yesterday. Don't know the cause yet but I suspect it twisted it's leg just enough to create a problem when it was chasing the other dog through the snow. Sharp turns can do that to you.

He's worse this morning-we'll see just how the day plays out for him.

Spent the morning under the truck changing transmission fluid and sealing up the pan gasket. Lots of itty bitty bolts, some of which are in hard to reach places. No drain plug so dropping the fluid is a mess waiting to happen. Not a hard job, but it is far from enjoyable. It must have been pretty low because the shifts are pretty crispy now compared to before...whoops. Fluid looked and smelled fine so I don't think I hurt it much, if at all.

Took another try and getting the 4th O2 sensor out but I think it's just going to have to stay unless I drop the exhaust. They threaded it in there just right where I can't turn the wrench enough to any meaningful pressure on it. You win some, you lose some.

I could go on and on about changing O2 sensors..... but i won't. Lol. Have you tried to use a pry bar against a wrench? Like put the open end of the wrench on the O2 sensor and the tip of the pry bar on the closed end. Then find a spot on the trans case, frame or whatever is solid to use as your pivot point. A little heat goes a long way also. Just gotta be careful not to pull threads with the sensor.

No matter which way I get a wrench, O2 socket, whatever on it...I can only get about 1/64 of a turn on it. I can barely get the slack out of the wrench before it hits the exhaust pipe.

I can understand that. Does a stubby wrench help any?

Edit: If you can't stand under the vehicle the "prybar trick" might be kinda tough.

These are the tools I use on pretty much all o2 sensors. I have also cut the wires off and used a flex ratchet wrench. I have seen guys take the y pipe out but have never had to go that far. IMG_4384.jpeg IMG_4383.jpeg
