    Another doe for the freezer. 12 gauge sabot slug. She didn’t go but 30 feet from where I shot her. Weasel beast tracked her down after dragging me through a briar patch. IMG_3293.jpeg

    My son said he acquired a 35 Whelen a couple weeks ago for deer season here.

    Pretty sure he has plenty of knockdown powah now.

    He shot a doe tonight, he was very happy that she dropped straight away & there was no trailing. He usually uses a 350 Legend.

    Oddly enough I was talking to him last fall about the 35 Whelen & he talked me out of it but doesn’t seem to recollect that conversation…
