    It has been a longer season for some flowers and tomatoes than usual, but now it is over.

    Kale, beets, and carrots are still available, and he compost piles are still heating.

    My strawberries are about done. I’ve been covering them on the colder nights but now that they’ve made it to November they are on their own. Seascape day-neutral, planted in May.

    We have only dropped down to 26f for a low, so the kale is still going strong, but I picked 1/2 of it, some for fresh eating, the rest to freeze.

    Dinosaur Kale, also known as Lacinato is an excellent variety for making cooked greens (like collards), salads, and in sauces. I will probably harvest the rest of this today or tomorrow.
