The fresh cut red oak was pretty heavy for the diameter. The walnut I found as precut rounds that somebody dumped illegally roadside on town property. Looks like they were sitting on someone's lawn for the past year. They weren't terribly hefty though. If I had a maul with me I would've probably halved them first (and could've fit a couple more in the bed that way too )
Price of cans is up 60 cents a pound is as good as it gets around here. Time to cash in for some gas money. 103lb for a total of $61.80.
Thanks! I like being able to just throw the rounds in. I have to pay way more attention when loading the truck or I’d jack up my body panels.
I sure do envy yall that live in the cooler climates. It's been 100 to 102 degrees here with the humidity making it feel like 212. Fall is around the corner though.
We had a record June & July in terms of heat. Been cooler the last week or two and the forecast looking good for this week too. Yes, Fall is around the corner and looking forward to cooler temps myself.
Haven't posted in this thread lately. Here are 2 loads from a big silver maple I've been cutting up. Sent from my motorola edge plus 5G UW (2022) using Tapatalk
