Winch not attached to boat?

 

Boat bow missed the middle landing location.

 

And it’s not even close to being centered on the trailer.

 

I thought maybe it bounced out because winch not attached/tied down right...?

 

I thought the trailer wasn't placed under the boat correctly.

 

Obviously the problem was a rising tide because those lift ALL boats…

 

I’d guess rising BAC.

 

Good thing that cotter pin was there, that wheel almost came off!

 

Pulled the wood splitter up to a pile of sassafras and poplar pile I've been wanting to get split and noticed the hitch was cracked. I guess I've been over loading the trailer and pulling too hard on the log arch.

 

Is that considered maintenance free?

 

I believe that is a prime example of "lubricated for life". Who's or what life is never stated.

 

They let you assume it's your life but really it's the parts life. Or life of the manufacturer. Either way its not usually in the customers favor.

I might make a thread but here’s the timing gears on my wood hauler. Ford 4.9 inline 6, was driving down the road last weekend and lost spark. Cam gear is toast, it’s a nylon material. I’ll have to pull the pan and clean all the teeth out. Yeah, she’s not going to get any spark like that.

 

At least you only have to clean up non metal debris.
Looks a wee bit dirty, are you sure it wasn't binding in the valve train causing a over load of the gear?
