I mowed the lawn after work today. I'm off for 6 days. We'll be out on a different large inland lake tomorrow on my boat with friends. Then we're going up to door county to lake Michigan and boating/ getting a bit of a vacation, even if it's only a couple of days.

I also loaded all the wood that will be burnable in 2 years into the trailer to be stacked in the wood shed. Mostly fir, but some box elder. I'll need a could more trailers full of wood. The majority of the wood I split was Honey locust, but that will sit out a year and then I'll move it to the shed because it burns better after 3 years after splitting. One of these days, I'll get a bigger garden shed, one of those steel ones that you put together in a weekend, then I can get the garden tractor out of my shed and I can fill it with when honey locust or any wood that needs 3 years to season. Less handling of wood would be great.

I was puzzled when we headed over in the opposite direction to come home today. The woman at the booth told me $21. I said okay and went on my way. So $16 on way there, and $21 on way back. :emptywallet:

Colorado some toll roads charge more during "peak" hours. Same with electricity. Could that be the reason?

I'm guessing due to the location of this bridge/tunnel this wasn't the case.

Both of my saws (1 Husky, 1 Stihl) wouldn't idle normally today. They both did fine yesterday. All I can think of is a cumulative effect of excess humidity.

I rented a brushcat 66” brushhog for the weekend.

Since I’m restricted from driving, I figured I better not run machinery either.

So this weekend I enlisted the help of my daughter and son-in-law.

my daughter wants me to teach her how to use the skid steer, and her husband will be the teacher.

and I get to video it all.

    hello Benny hill theme song.

You are right. I know they are tossing that idea around in MA. Heck, maybe they are already doing it - not like I go there but once a decade (or less if I can help it)

Well, a Google search and here is the explanation - Weekends during the tourist season the toll goes up.

They charge the same for a motorcycle as a 1 ton truck. That's some BS

I had refueled them when they were hot the day before, and put them away. It dawned on me I had heard that this causes problems sometimes. I opened the cap on the Stihl and reclosed it, started it, and it idled just fine. I assume the same will happen with the Husqvarna. Maybe coincidence or I'm on to something?
