Some of you might have caught the thread where I was asking questions about different used stoves I was looking at.Lopi Leyden

I figured I’d start a new thread to eliminate confusion and chronicle my experience in a new to me adventure.

I picked up the Meridian used and not running for CHEAP. I kinda messed around with it with no luck getting it going. I suspected the control board was bad.
With some help from a buddy that was confirmed. I ordered a board Sunday from a website called Friendly fires in Canada and it arrived today. With a good amount of anticipation to see the stove work I installed it ASAP.

It’s alive! IMG_3810.jpeg I also ordered gaskets all around and a new panel decal as the on/off switch button was blown out.

I did the Tom Hanks fire dance from the movie Cast Away!

It’s been running about an hour so I think I’m good to go.

A big thank you to the person that helped!;)

IMG_3821.jpeg She’s naked. Wish I knew it was so easy to strip it down. Would have made it easier to get out of the guys house.

Thanks. I remember a thread you were installing a wireless thermostat. I looked a bit but the search function on this site stinks or my skills working it stink! lol. What did you end up getting to work?

Thank you brenndatomu ! That’s the correct thread.

This unit has worked well Warner . The App is solid and reliable. It’s chugged along just fine this entire heating season.

Ended up going with the Skytech remote thermostat. Only had a little time to mess with it last night but it was as easy as it gets to install and the basic functions work well. I’ll be playing with the programming some more as time permits.
