I like those except when you're bucking big wood. It will heat up the bark and put it right back up in your face.
This is said to be a unnecessary on 7900s, but I couldn't resist when I had it apart. Its loud! Its also easier to tune. Four stroking is much more distinct. The cage is still intact, but the cat is gone.(this was originally a 6421) There are two pieces inside the outer shell that contain the cat and direct the gasses. I just took those out and threw them away.
See...ya just went and did it.....i love the looks of that total superbar on that 441 looks completely badazz!...now i gotta get one..
I think they look pretty good too @SquareFile, what kind of wrap is that? I like that.. Even the color scheme looks pretty good..
Check with Terry Landrum.....Wicked Worksaws he might be a dealer My local Stihl dealer carries them for a logger so I bought a couple
Cutters Choice sells and sold under another name but same T made bars. Cheaper then others selling online from what I saw.
A simple but effective mod on my CS590. It woke that puppy right up and turned it into a Harley! I removed the deflector and cut the baffle out of it then drilled a whole in the muffler on the flat spot behind the exhaust exit hole. The spark screen is removed as well.
I've run that saw of Pete's. Sounds good with that mod, & cuts very well. Got a nice bark to it when loaded. Nice saw in all aspects. A C
Thanks, went on a bit of an electronics hiatus. Lots of work & family stuff. Just got busy & kinda ignored the internet for the most part. Got almost 20 cord put up & dry/drying. Lots of tree jobs, regular work, & 2 grand kids that are more fun than I can stand. Son in law is a tractor puller, so we spent a bit of time with that as well. Busy life, but a good one. A C
