I'm way behind with my pics here..... Sawed up the white pine we picked up a few weeks back..... Made 3/4" x 12" mostly, with some 10" & narrower stuff.
Picked up a mimosa log a while ago, kinda pretty...... similar to black walnut in density and behavior while sawing.
Did up an order for a bunch of oak 3/4" x 10" barn siding...... stickered all the culls for whenever somebody wants low grade boards.
Ain't sawdust but..... something we did in the last few weeks..... helped a milling customer pour a slab for his shop.
A lot of our time lately has been going into a good size salvage job..... Lots of dead standing trees, and storm killed stuff.
So far so okay, it just arrived today. I think it's a decent machine. It's going to be a learning curve, but I think it's going to work pretty well. I'll try to post updates as I get it dialed in.....or maybe I should just do a separate thread on it.
Been a few since I posted anything here. The most recent log scrounge....yellow pine, white & red oak.
