I think the pipe coming out of the ceiling in the basement is supported by the sill plate. but that is a good point, to secure it just in case it does want to move. it goes up from the basement to the 2nd floor, hangs a right (all in wall) then a left to an interior wall. It's somewhat supported up top, and I suspect where the end comes out down below at 45, might hold it some. 'course if it falls down,I'll just have to do the whole repair all the way up. I just picked up insulation for one of the ceilings down there, a little over 500 sq ft. So I have a couple indoor projects to get into next month or so.
final update: Probably not doing this project. Selling house as is, unless it's critical, I'm not planning on finishing this project. Will update if that happens. SCA
