Low oil light is on. Oil is full and oil pressure sensor has been replaced. Still not starting. Will crank but no spark.
I have had several instance where the the sensor is good and dip stick says full with no start or start and then shut down for low oil pressure. Try adding a bit more oil to crankcase. The dip sticks now days are very poor indicators other than letting you there is indeed some oil in unit. First time I ran into this years ago it had me stumped- Mechanic acquaintance told me just what I stated above- problem solved. He also said those sensors were not the best pieces of kit either. If it solves problem make a new full mark on stick
Oil pressure sensor ( sending unit ) or low oil sensor? Can you disconnect it or bypass to see if you get spark ? also I believe that Kawasaki says not to screw stick in when checking oil level.
Added extra oil. Still nothing, it's a low oil sensor. Single wire no difference if disconnected. Not sure how to jump it out.
Ground that wire. Single wire sensors lots of time are ground sensors and low oil breaks the ground contact.
I looked up the wiring diagram for this engine, it shows that the sensor is a pressure switch, it just turns the warning light on/off, that's it, no ties to the ignition. I'd do a couple things, get a test light, or multimeter and check the power (terminal e on the key switch) and ground to the fuel solenoid at the carburetor. You could also unplug the coil wire that goes to terminal b on the key switch, (I'd try to unplug it at the coil, or wherever convenient) that would make sure that the ignition coils are not grounded out ("turned off") this would actually be my first test, since the oil light is on, which means the terminal that feeds the oil light and fuel solenoid is powered up...so unless there is a bad connection, or a broken wire (power or ground) the fuel solenoid should be working...and, your issue currently is no spark. Chances are really low that you lost 2 coils at the exact same time, and they are pretty much self contained, so my money is on that they work when the "off"/ground wire is unplugged...which will have to be put back on to kill it if the engine starts...that, or run it out of fuel!
Didn't get to check anything out today. Grandkids a had baseball and softball games today. Will try again tomorrow.
It's fixed. Had a wire under the seat pan and above the mower deck shorted to ground. had to disassemble 1/2 the mower to find it.
Grass was cut with other mower. I always seem to collect more than one of the stuff I use. I am kinda hard on everything so I keep spares around.
