I guess what I was saying is with 3" of dirt on top of mine if it was days and days below zero and up to negative 30 my tank I know would be frozen solid.

gaberelli you are not a complete idiot until you do it 2 years in a row!

my tank is 6 feet under ground BUT I know an idiot; that out a 24’ above ground pool on his D box:whistle:

the next year built retaining wall around it
Next year poured 25 foot circle 18” wide with rebar and 6 yards of pool sand in circle so legs would be level and concave sand so I did not have to deal with wrinkles
Then build 12 foot deck 1/2 around it
2 summers later tore all apart and replaced distribution box. It collapsed all sand filled lines it was a chit show

Yup. Drain field clean out. There’s a couple of them but this is the one I tend to plow over…and the protective 4” pipe section surrounding the actual clean out pipe stands no chance against me. Shatter it into 10 pieces on my way to decimating what is guards.

The brittle 4” or 5” PVC out outside is there for just that. To protect the clean out pipe inside of it.

It’s a mound system. House plumbing is not lower than system (on slab) but drain field is. Pump in holding tank pumps it up to the drain field.
