Cutting away at the Long awaited Ash score today, I went to shut the saw down, and the stop switch didnt shut the saw down! It was running funny, as it does when its out of fuel. I was thinking I'd just bury the bar in the log I was cutting and stall it out, when it starved out first. It has the cylinder pressure release button, so that would have been next in line. I took the covers off, expecting to see a busted wire somewhere, to discover the stop switch contact bit was well fouled with fine saw dust powder. A simple scrape-out with a tool remedied that....she started and stut down per my wishes. Something to check now and again I reckon. I also found bits of noodle shreds tucked into the cooling fins, explaining the pleasant woodsmoke every time I shut down for a refuel. Issues addressed. Sca
A cylinder base gasket leak will cause the same problem- sneaky as he double tooth piks - don't ask how I know.
