Okay. I ran the line on my propane grill side burner. I have flame up to the inlet for the cooking unit, but no flames out all the little holes. I removed the part and ran a pipe cleaner through it. Nothing stopping it up. There is a rotating part on the tube, that I have completely closed, fully opened, and partially opened. No flames. Rest of the burners are working fine. I was told this needs some me air with the fuel to burn right. Suggestion? I have a flat griddle made for this that I would live to cook with. Am placing the griddle on my main grill grates, but burning more fuel than necessary to fry an egg.
Are you smelling any propane coming out of the side burner when you turn the nob on high? If not, There is a clog somewhere of something is capped. I once had a spider web in one of my propane gill tubes and it wouldn't light off. You are not getting any flow obviously.
It has a separate regulator. It has flame out the end of the line over an inch long I ran a pipe cleaner through the tube and could see it inside the burner so no obstruction
Might be a PITA, but any way you can swap hoses with the main burners to see if the regulator isn’t the problem? Mind you I don’t know if the 2 regulators have different preset pressures, so use caution.
May not be getting enough propane to support combustion at the burner unit. 1 inch flame at the open end still seems small. Is the regulator adjustable?
